With this tour to Manu National Park, you will discover the beauty of nature.

Feel free to venture through the Amazon jungle, passing through different ecosystems such as the cloud forest and rain forest that are home to a large amount of wildlife. Exploring primary forests, navigating the impressive Madre de Dios River, and enjoying the landscape around us will make us aware and therefore value our Amazon.

DAY 1: Cusco - Cloud Forest - Rainforest

We will pick you up from your hotel at 5:30 on our private transport. We will drive through mountains and valleys until we reach the funeral towers or Chullpas of Ninamarca (3750 m / 12.303 ft) and then visit the folkloric town of Paucartambo. After an hour of driving, we will get to Acjanaco Pass (3495 m / 11.482 ft), which is the entry point to Manu National Park. We are going to walk through the cloud forest looking for different animals, such as Peru’s national bird (cock of the rock) quetzals, toucans, and monkeys. 

Later, we will reach our lodge where we will spend the night.

Day 2: Pico de Hoz - Machuwasi Oxbow Lake - Night Excursion

In the morning, we will drive until get a garden of hummingbirds. After spending some minutes over there, we will take the boat and go out of our lodge to have lunch.

In the afternoon, we walk through trails where there is an opportunity to find monkeys, hoatzins, “prehispanic birds”, horned screamers, oropendolas, etc. After some minutes of walking, we are going to arrive at Machuwasi Oxbow Lake where you can ride on local rafts and watch birds from a tower.

Day 3: Parrot Clay Lick– Trails – Night Excursion

Early, we navigate to the clay lick to enjoy the spectacle of different species of parrots and parakeets flying close to us. After breakfast, we continue exploring the jungle to get the Ceiba or Kapok tree and learn why the Kapok is so sacred to the indigenous people.

In the afternoon, you will have free time to relax, swim, or even fish in the Alto Madre de Dios River. Afterward, we continued exploring and learning more about the flora and fauna.

After dinner, we will take a night walk, where we will have the opportunity to see snakes, tarantulas, owls, frogs, and much more.

Day 4: Atalaya – Wildlife Rescue Center – Cusco

After breakfast, take some time to pack your belongings and check out of our lodge. We will then journey to the wildlife rescue center, where we can observe animals that may be difficult to spot in the cultural zone of Manu National Park.

Finally, we will expect to arrive at Cusco around 16:00 hours.
